The Year In Review

Hello everyone!
Wow, this year has gone fast. In two days it will be New Years Eve! *le-gasp!*
So I thought it would be nice to do a little photo meme for the year gone by...

January

nicole and I practicing our pout on NYE... haha
When it comes around, its always nice to look back on last new years eve, and the things I decided to change for the following year.

February

Annee and I are such ladiessss- chilling in the mall after the meet
Lolita times! First lolita meet of the year- in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Always a great atmosphere.

March

because statues are way more fun to pose with
Going interstate to a convention with my great friend, Annee! Ah, what adventures we had! :D

April
somehow, my hair stayed really nice! :o
More lolita meets- this time a picnic on a hot autumn day.

May

Half of my friends turned 21 this year and although in Australia we are legal for drinking/clubs at 18- we still celebrate  it as a big milestone!

June
I start to whore this wig out from here on... HAHA
International Lolita day down at the beach- luckily it wasn't a cold start to winter.

July
professional shot by Paula- I didn't realize how short Milky Planet was until I saw this! haha!
Ah, AVCon. A great weekend to dress in lolita, be surrounded by geeky people, and take photos of my favourite characters. <3

August

Daddy and I out to lunch <3
A quieter month (after spending all my money at AVCon) I visited my family for a week or so and reminded myself (again) how much I miss them now that I live so far away ><;

September

my hair died shortly afterwards >___<
Moon Lantern Festival- the opening of the Aus-Asia Festival held here. Great excuse to do some gal makeup! :D  It was also my first time in yukata, and I loved it!

October
ah, Angelic Pretty clone to the core (and I love it)
Another lolita meetup in the Botanic Gardens- this is where I met Lauren for the first time in real life (lol, that sounds so funny)

November

my workmate, Renee, and I at our Christmas party
Christmas parties start early- I had a few here and there. But my work party was great! Live rock-a-billy band! :D

December

and a picture of Me gawking over my awesome My Little Pony themed birthday cake! :D

And we come to the end of the year- of course the last lolita meet of 2010. Followed by my birthday, Christmas, and now- Here! :3

*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
Hope everyone had a fantastic year- just like I did! Although there were ups and downs, heart breaks and letdowns, there is always amazing, happy, and beautiful times which make everything worth while!

See you all in the New Year!

Lolita Meet December 2010 :)

Good evening! :D
So, here is my post on our last Lolita meet up!

My friend Lauren came down all the way from BrokenHill to attend! She stayed with me, in my crappy little spare room (which is full of shoes, books, and bags of unwanted clothes) and I had so much fun! :D Its great having somebody stay with me when I've been living alone for a year now- sometimes I miss human contact ><;

So Saturday afternoon we went into the city and got Sushi Train at ChinaTown for late lunch/early tea. I had to buy a present for the loli meet, as we did a Secret Santa (we all picked numbers out of a hat and gave the present to the person with the number higher than ours). Thankgod I found something cute AND useful! It was a little obento box shaped like a strawberry, with a spoon included <3

Sunday morning, my best friend Kelly came over my place and we all got ready together! :D

I wore my Angelic Pretty: Ribbon Decoration OP, it was my first hime outfit! :3 I'm normally OTT sweet, so it was hard trying to be elegant... >_>
Lauren (on the left) is wearing the Mario Kingdom JSK designed and made by Kelly (right)! Kelly is wearing my Wonder Cookie halter jsk/socks :)

We met up with everyone in the mall- there were about 16-17 of us altogether! :D THATS A NEW RECORD! haha!
(I wont be posting pictures of anyone else on here, as I don't have their permission to distribute their photos online)
Then we headed down to a Japanese noodle restaurant. Those poor girls working there- 17 lolitas come walking through their door, with two or three photographers in tow, and we all wanted to be seated together! lol!
I got some udon noodles. *drools loudly like Homer Simpson* Mannn, looking at the photo just makes me want to eat it again!
YUMM- even if its been half eaten by me already... haha!

Lauren's melted Green Tea icecream... it looked like some crazy cocktail!

After lunch, we walked down to the Botanic Gardens to do the Secret Santa gift-giving, then proceeded to have A BAJILLION photos taken by a group of photographers who were at the park at the time!
~~prepare for lotsa photos~~

nails made by Lauren! :D She is so talented!

And then somehow... we always like to play with the idea of 'Ninja Lolis'... So go fourth and view our ninja lolitas montage! :D

So, after beating each other up for an hour or so, while photographers snapped happily away at us, we wandered back into the mall to get some purikura! :D
Around 5, everyone went their separate ways. Lauren, me and a few of our other loli friends went to a tea place and got some tea to wait for another of our friends to join us at 7. Then we went out to tea (I got noodles, AGAIN! haha) and karaoke'd till about 12! :)
It was really a great day!! I met so many new people- and there were so many new lolitas at the meet!

Lauren stayed for a few more days, and she was my sugar daddy- paying for all my meals and flashing her cash. (LOL) She called me her Geisha- because I just followed her around and kept her entertained. We went shopping, out to tea, more purikura. It was fantastic! :D

****************************************************************************
So that was my lolita weekend! :3 I hope next years meets will be just as big and fun!
Peace out mah lovelies! :3

Christmas Shopping OF DOOM

Heya everyone!
Today was busy for me- I had to go Chrissy shopping in the city, which was so packed with people I had to line up to get a park! Got most of it done, which is a relief, except for Dad's present because what he wanted wasn't available and he didn't answer his phone to tell me what to get instead ><;
I'm TERRIBLE at getting presents, so I always have to ask everyone in my family what they want. haha.
So I will have to go in again tomorrow- which I don't mind, because I realized I need to buy a dress for Christmas Eve dinner :D

TREND:
Finally, after so bloody long, the animal print trend has hit Australia. I'm seeing leopard prints everywhere! Which is great, because I totally LOVE leopard print with gal! Saves me money on postage, thats for sure.

*****************************************************

Last night I redyed my hair using Silver Toner- because last time I didn't have enough to get the darker blonde bits beneath.... and I accidentally turned my hair silver! ><;
Its not too bad, right?! ><
I don't mind, however, as it will wash out in a few washes! I was trying to get my hair the same colour as my extensions, but it didn't work! (clearly... lol!)

I will post soon about the last Lolita meet we had here! It was fantastic! And the biggest meet we've had yet!

XOXOXOX

Good evening everyone! <3

This is my first (and most likely only) blog! I hope that I can fill it with interesting things. I dont plan on making this a hugely public blog- although I will be writing articles on fashions that I love and other things :3

Well, introductions!
My name is Carrie, I just recently turned 22, and I love Japanese fashion, drawing, and having fun! Having fun is such a general quote, however, but it includes many things which I'm sure if you continue reading my posts you will soon see! lol.
I'm also a bit of a camera whore, so there will be stupid pics of me posted here at any time. haha. Mainly of coordinates varying from lolita to gyaru to just dressup! :)

Hope to be writing again soon! Ive had a busy few weeks, so lots to report on!

Enjoy and stay classy, planet earth!

XOXOXOX
