Outfit and New Gets!

Small update!
Its my birthday this Saturday, so in preparation (eh hem... a few months beforehand preparation...) I got some new things which arrived yesterday!
(Sorry for the quality of the photo)
Got some mermaidy things! Both from etsy! The cardigan is black and oversized, with a Sagittarius mermaid printed on the back. I'm a Sagittarius so I was pretty excited when I spotted this online! hehe! And a high-waisted pink scale skirt; its really stretchy and comfortable!

(Again, shit quality. Stupid phone. I need an Iphone 5!!)
I also got this awesome mermaid body-suit in the mail! Its Australian made and awesome- you cant see too well, but on some of the scales there are pink diamonds <3
Also invested in some new shorts- the weather is heating up! It was 37 Degrees Celsius today! One white/floral one and a dip-dyed yellow, blue and pink pair. They are so comfortable- and as I've lost a little bit of weight my legs are looking better in them! haha!

Because my friends are awesome, they found a seller on the Aus Lolita page selling one of my dream dresses! Innocent Worlds 'Tiered Jsk with Pearls' in the short version. I tried it on at a friends house a while ago, and although she was selling it I couldn't afford it at the time so I missed out! But one of my best friends rang me at work going "OMG ONES POSTED ONLINE" so I literally got it within a few minutes of the sales post going up! haha! Its such a beautiful dress- it might look plain, but the material is soft and heavy, and it sits beautifully on me! <3

(PHOTO IS NOT MINE!)
I also got this skirt by Lady Sloth from a friend. Silk Cherubin!
*******************************

And finally, a random lolita outfit from Sunday.
I went to a farewell for one of our local lolitas, Jaana <3 Unfortunately she is moving away. She is such a nice and pretty person, we will all miss her in the community.
Everything is Angelic Pretty, except for the shoes which are Secret Shop.
And a makeup shot. My phone takes really grainy pictures. lol.

Thank you for reading! <3

Cupcakes, Swimming and Parties!

Hiya lovelies!

Been busy and not so busy- so finally updating! :D

A few weekends ago I went to SupaNova! I cosplayed as Asuna from Sword Art Online. It was lots of fun! I didn't make the sword, however, because I got lazy. lol. I kinda regret it, because it would've been easier to do poses with a sword XD

Lots of people went to see some of the Harry Potter stars and other famous people, I just went to lurk. haha! Although I did sit in a panel for Tom Hopper, the actor who play Sir Percival in Merlin (which is a show I rather like!). And although I didn't know much about him (or ANY of the other actors there, to be honest) it was interesting to see him in real life.

I made a new tail for myself too! I received a bigger monofin so I used the last of my black shiny material to make it, but this time added some extra pectoral, dorsal and ankle fins to give it a nicer look in the water! :D The bigger monofin is so much fun to swim in- although my feet are a TINY bit too small so I need to invest in some neoprene booties to stop the straps rubbing.

I got to wear my new fin, and new shell-bra, starfish headband and shell belt to a Mermaid-Meet-and-Greet we held at the Aquatic Centre! I wasn't exactly 100% healthy that day... but I went anyway because I didn't want to let my Pod down and all the kids who were going to meet us! Unfortunately not many older people showed up, but that meant we got to play with the kids more (which is really what its all about!) I got a few interested parents in doing birthday parties, so it was a great day all in all!

(selfie from the day... haha!)

Still wasn't feeling well on the Sunday either, so although there was an awesome Lolita Chocolate meet, I had to miss out. :( Luckily, my girls decided to stay with me for the day and kept me company, which was so sweet and so much fun! :D

Finally, this weekend was a busy one!
On Saturday it was International Lolita Day (Summer edition for us Southern Hemisphere lolitas!) so we had a BIGGG picnic/get-together in the botanics! It was aimed at new lolitas: as we have quite a few girls on our Facebook page but not many of them attend meets for one reason or another, so we thought making it 'newbie' friendly perhaps they would have the courage to come meet us! :D
There ended up being SO many of us! It was great! The weather was a bit bipolar though *_* At first it was cold, then it suddenly POURED down with rain, then it cleared and was humid, and finally all the clouds left and it was a warm sunny day again! lol! At least for the most part it was sunny!

I wore my Milky Planet Jsk Again!
Wig- Taobao

My birthday is also in 10 days *___*

My birthday is also in 10 days *___*

Shoes: Secret Shop
Everything else: Angelic Pretty
Group Shot! :D

That evening Kelly and I made 'Mushroom Cupcakes' in preparation for the next day, which was...

Christine's and mine joint 'Mario Kart Tournament' birthday party! :D

It was SUCH an awesome day! All of our friends were there and we all had a great time! ^_^ I ate so much sugar... I'm still feeling the effects today. lol!
I came 7th overall from the Tournament, haha! But I'm TERRIBLE at video games- I spend more time swearing loudly at the screen then winning. Everyone was shocked at my sailors mouth XD (at least now they know why I dont play games! haha!)

Christine was Mario and I was Louigi! hehe!
I wore Chess Chocolate casually, it was too hot for blouses or socks XD

Now, RANDOM PHOTO SPAM!

I received a packaged from Taobao, with some wigs... and a giant Alpaca in it! XD
I also got an Ariel wig! XD

Also, my favourite milk drink finally came into stores again!! XD I thought they'd stopped making them, as I hadn't found any in AGES, but it looks like they are back again! Perhaps they are seasonal? *shrugs*

I also dyed my hair with pink and blue streaks! :D Its faded out now, but it was rather pretty at the time. hehe!

ALSO, I made another mash-up of footage in my new tail! :D

OK, thats all I can think of for the moment. haha!
I've got some things coming in the mailllll <3 But when they arrive I'll take photos and do a big shopping spam post! :D

Thanks for reading!

XOXOXOX

(Also sorry about the stupid white lines all over this post... I cant get them to go away ><;;)

Alanna: The Lioness

*Photo heavy*
I did a photoshoot with my best friend Kelly a few days ago of my Alanna cosplay.
Kelly really is an amazing photographer- and she just does if for fun! XD

Alanna is the heroine of Tamora Pierce's book series Song of the Lioness. I loved her character the second I read the first few pages of the first book- Alanna is someone I look up to, even though she isn't real! I was only a teenager when I read the first book- maybe 14- but I purchased the series and have read them at least once a year since. That's nearly 10 years!

I really recommend reading the series- as well as Tamora Pierce's other series revolving around the land Tortall. I own every book! XD

The armor held together nicely- I had some trouble with the straps but that's something I've learnt for next time!
One day I will own some REAL armor and be a real Lady Knight, but for now I'll just have to make it myself. haha!

Me in the car after- I was so happy! ^_^

Thank you for reading! <3

Mad Scramble

Hi lovelies!
Sorry again for vanishing!
Here is another of my omg-must-recap-everything posts.

We went out to tea to a new Vegetarian place in town. I wasn't a huge fan- maybe cos I'm a meat eater through-and-through ^^; But it was ok!
The drinks they served us were HUGE!

Recently, the OzAsia festival was on again, so it was the Moon Lantern Festival~
I went with Christine, her partner Chris, Tamara, Nans and Amy! I wore my white yukata- Christine and I wanted to wear our furisodes but it had been raining that morning and the idea of getting them wet scared us out of it!
The fireworks were really amazing. Normally I'm scared of big 'bangs' but that evening the wind carried the noise away and it was perfect!

Then we had another lolita swap meet!
My herpa-derpa face
I'm still trying to sell some dresses, but had no luck at the meet :( That's ok, though, I hope I can sell them soon!
There wasn't as many girls as last time but that was due to short notice- still, it was a great catch-up and we all had a lot of fun! ^_^

Another lolita event- a picnic by the river! We were lucky to get a beautiful sunny day.
The theme was 'Masterchef' and we all had to bring a dish along and whoever got the most votes won!
...I WON!!
I couldn't believe it! I'm pretty terrible at cooking, but I made 'peanut butter chocolate fudge' and everyone loved it! ^_^ I was so happy and surprised! I won a pair of BTSSB socks! How awesome!
My outfit
To be honest...  I am feeling a little 'meh' about my OTT sweet style lately.
In fact, I purchased my first NON-ANGELIC PRETTY dresses for the first time in like, 3 years(?) these last few weeks.
Both Innocent World.
I feel 'pretty' in these more classic dresses. So we will see what happens with my style- I wont be selling off all my AP just yet. haha! I think I'll just tone it down a bit.

Now, coming up is Halloween. Australia doesn't really celebrate Halloween but there are still events to go to if you wanted to dress up! :) This year I'm going as Alanna from 'Song Of The Lioness' Quartet by Tamora Pierce- it was one of my favourite book series growing up (as well as her Immortals Series!). Alanna is a lady knight and is kick ass awesome.
I've been making the armor for her this past week, so hopefully it all looks ok when put together!

Other than these things, all I have been doing is resting, and of course swimming! I managed to do 50 metres underwater the other day- and the only reason I couldn't go further was because it was the end of the pool. Its awesome to realize my breath-hold is increasing each time!
From the looks of things, I may not be getting my professional tail until December :( Its a bit of a bummer- I really wanted it to train in and get comfortable for ocean swimming while home for Christmas. So to compensate I purchased a newer, heavier monofin, and I'll be making a heavier tail in the coming weeks. At least this way I can get stronger and have a new tail before my professional one arrives!
 The new monofin!

I also got some awesome news from a friend- I paid her to make my new business cards! She sent me them and I was like OMG!
Its perfect!! :D So cute and light.

Ok, now for some random food.
I made onigiri for the first time! :D I was so proud of myself- and it was really yummy <3
And finally, I found a mermaid koala in my koala biscuits. haha!

Anyways, I'll post soon with my cosplay of Alanna :D

Thank you for reading! <3
XOXOXOX

i.Fairy Kimchi Mermaid in Grey!

Hello again! Sorry for the absence! :D

Today I got to try out the Grey from the Mermaid series!! :D

First off, I am so bias to grey lenses. I really love these!! XD

Comfort: 8/10
Size: 8/10
Colour/Design: 9/10

I love grey lenses. These are so damn cute! They remind me of a bigger Princess Mimi lens, which is one of my favourites! The design is really obvious in my eyes, and the colour is great!! I seriously recommend them if you are looking for a bigger alternative to Princess Mimi's, as they are really cute and funky!

Have a browse through the collection offered from Adelaide GEO store!!

Thanks so much for your time! :D
