Glitter and Photographs- a small update

(Better late than never regarding this meetup! Haha!)
For Easter our local lolita's all got together for a big Easter Egg Meet. It was held in a beautiful park, and thanks to Christine's organization there were SO many eggs for everyone! Unfortunatley, it started raining. Badly. There were at least 40 lolitas huddled under trees and umbrellas! There was a break in the rain so we took the chance to go find all the eggs, but it was short-lived. So Christine kindly suggested we all head back to her house as it was close by!
Que 40 lolita's in an appartment. Haha!
There was an amazing give-away, where we all picked eggs with numbers inside and whoever got number 1 could have the pick of all the prizes, and so-on until all the numbers were done! So everyone got a prize! :D Christine had organized a special prize for me, though, a beautiful shell bracelet and ChocoMint hair clip! Thank you!! <3
(Photo thanks to Christine! <3 )I wore my Milky Chan set from Angelic Pretty, but decided to add bunny elements to it with some ears and makeup and the bunny-head pass case. After selling a bunch of my dresses and scalopettes I discovered I didn't have anything with bunnies on it- BUT Milky Chan has a little bunny friend in the print so I was still on-theme. Haha! Everything was Angelic Pretty except the shoes which were from Claobao. I'm also happy I brought my Angelic Pretty umbrella, as it was well used. Lol!

Other than this event I've had a few gigs as Mizuko :)
(This is my 'mermaid-undercover' look. lol. So I can hide amongst the normal people/guests and hope the kids dont notice I look alot like the mermaid who was just there. haha!)
Last week I had a very magical and fun gig at Fairy
School as the special guest! Miss Fairy runs the school for a whole week through-out the school holidays, and the little fairies-in-training LOVE it. I had so much fun!
Beautiful Miss Fairy and myself!
I spent the whole time answering questions about being a mermaid, doing crafts and trying to convince one non-believer that I was real. Haha! It gets tough when you're trying to bring magic to the other kids who do believe you are real, when there is one proudly announcing “SHE'S NOT A REAL MERMAID!” and ruining it for everyone. Unfortunatley, I did not change her mind but she moved on to bother the Fairies about them not being real either, so I could concentrate on the other kids. Haha! We made Magical Shells by decorating them with glitter and gems. When I got home I found glitter everywhere- even in my belly button while I was having a shower. Haha!
But this was a really special gig and I totally loved it :) Miss Fairy was awesome to work with and super nice- she'll be performing at the Gumeracha Medieval Fair this weekend too so I'll be popping in to say hello!

And finally I have somehow fallen into another massive craft-project besides my silicone tail. Although this one is due to be finished and debuted this weekend at the Medieval Fair! I'll do a full write-up of it next week once I've worn it and gotten some pictures. :)

AND NOW FOR SOME CAMERA-WHORING.
Haha!

I have this huge folder full of shots of myself for lens reviews
(which are here by the way >>
http://shimmerbubble.blogspot.com.au/ )
And other random face-shots.
So here is some face-spam.
Belle from Beauty & The Beast- excuse the terrible phone edit. haha!
This is an old one, but Ariel from The Little Mermaid (again, terrible phone edit! haha!)
And my attempt at being a sexy gyaru for a lens review. lol. SERIOUS FACE.

OH, and my new monofin arrived!

It is the biggest one I own yet, but is lighter and more streamlined. It DID cost me $300 so you'd hope it was good? Haha! I finally took it for a swim yesterday, and oh my: it feels INCREDIBLE. I can go so fast/far with little effort. I made sure I wore my rash-vest in the pool because I didn't want to risk my bikini top falling off from how fast I could go. Haha! I cannot wait to put it into my silicone tail- it will feel magical. <3

Thanks for Reading! :D <3
XOXOXOX

Shopping, Outfits and Life Catchup Post!

Heya lovely readers!

I went awol again. haha! I dont get time to sit down and write up interesting things for you to read (not that I write about interesting things to begin with-lol! But thank you for still following me anyway! <3 ) so I'm making an effort to keep up with things!

So here's a shopping/outfit/diary dump! haha!
(Warning- photo heavy!)

I've been VERY good with shopping- as trying to save up to make this silicone mermaid tail and bills/living is sucking away most my funds. But I did a small haul from Grail at the end of Febuary to try catch the last of their winter stock!

Grail (
www.grail.bz/ ) has become one of my favourite online stores from Japan. I purchased from them a good year ago and I was really happy with what I got! Their prices are CHEEP. Like, $20 for a pair of ankle boots. And the quality is good. And they have a mixture of styles- things that can go with hime, rock, etc. So this time I got a few things!

A new winter coat.
This is really cute- it was about $30 and its WOOL. So super warm! My boobs cause a little bit of tightness but its still super comfortable.

Two oversized sweaters (the cream one came with a singlet!).
These are both SO SOFT. Way softer than I was expecting. The blue one is super cute to throw over dresses/jeans, but I havn't worn the cream one year cos its too warm! haha! Its still not cold enough to wear it!

And two dresses!
Unfortunatley, as I had previously purchased from Grail I'd gotten a size Medium dress. It fit great and was super pretty, but I wanted more length. So this time around I got both dresses in a Large- thinking it will give me the extra 2cm on the body. Um... not really. Yes, they are longer, but the biggest issue is they are TOO BIG. They are baggy around the chest/waist >< Its a bit frustrating cos I didnt realise how big a difference the M and L would be on top! Ah well, these are still pretty. The pink one looks nice with a belt around the waist, but the white one is just too 'square' to suit me!

My big sister and my Mum came to the city visit for a few days, as my sister had an appointment with the seamstress making her wedding dress. So we went shopping!

I found this cardigan from Temt for $20- and I had to get it because it was the only colourful thing I'd seen all day! haha! Australia has well-and-truely gone into Autumn/Winter colours.

And this dress from ValleyGirl was only $15- but the material is really nice and thick!

And then I saw this clutch from Forever New (which is a wonderful store, by the way, its still very girly and floral throughout ALL the seasons!) and I HAD to get it! MERMAID SCALES! It reminded me of my pink tail, and what I want my new silicone tail to look like! <3

I have a friends wedding coming up at the end of April, and I saw this dress on ModCloth and fell in love:

So I got it! haha! Its really beautiful in person, I just love the embroided shells/coral/starfish. <3 I love buying mermaid things!
I also forgot to show you these boot I purchased sometime last year!
I initially got them for my Asuna cosplay for SupaNova, but I decided I liked them too much to destroy. lol! So I ruined another pair of old boots and kept these. They have wool/fur inside so they are really warm!

Ok, shopping dump completed.

Onto some outfit shots! :D
(Prepare for dodgy iPhone photos in our messy bedroom! haha!)

I had my best friends birthday in Feb, and it was 'fantasy' themed so I went as a water nymph. haha!
Then after the picnic we went out to Eggless for dessert! I changed my outfit but only slightly (added jeans and took off ears/necklace)
For Valentines Day we had a lolita meet.
It was SUPER hot (like 35degrees celcius or something) so I wore no blouse or socks...
Everything is Angelic Pretty except the boots which are Yumetenbo :)
A random outfit I wore going OP-Shopping (second-hand shopping). I didn't find anything I wanted- except this beautiful old wedding dress but I couldn't justify buying it. haha!
OzComicon came to my city, I only went on Sunday so I didn't bother to cosplay. I wore AP's Fantastic Dolly jsk/socks & necklace/wristcuffs/cardigan; shoes were Secret Shop and beanie was from Curvy's.
Had a fairwell dinner for one of my best friends who moved interstate. I got to wear my new ValleyGirl dress. Unfortunatley the resturant didn't have much gluten-free options so I had to get chilli chicken wings which was way too messy! haha!
And last one, a random one of me in my wetsuit. I hadn't tried it on in YEARS, the last time I wore this I was about 13. Its kinda scary knowing I hit puberty so early and stopped growing when I'm 24 and still fit in it. lol! I got mum & dad to send it over for me as I'm going to need it freediving out at sea this winter!

AND LIFE...

I went through my bathers. I have 9 pairs. Haha! And somehow... it doesnt feel like enough? XP

Valentines day.
Mikey and I didn't really get to do much as we both worked all day and he didn't knock off til 9.30 at night, so it was a simple gift-giving. He got me this pink pearl necklace! I got him a watch. haha!

One of my friends, Eden, is the owner of an awesome brand We're All Mad Here! She does creepy-cute lolita clothing, and is also a major sweetheart :)
She asked a group of us to model her new range of tights and I was lucky enough to be involved! :D
For all the info and all her awesome prints, look on:

Christine and I <3
Sailor Moon style!!

I also finally got to go swimming at the local reef about 45minutes away!
I CANNOT BELIEVE I only discovered it now. I feel like I've cheated myself out of years of ocean swimming by not knowing it was there. Lol. At least now with my wetsuit I can go there over winter!!
Here's some video of my mermaid swim there:

And I managed to get some photos recently thanks to my best friend Kelly! <3

And finally, I can give you all a glimpse of my professional photoshoot I had in preparation for my website! :D
I am so happy with the photos, they are soft and warm and just what I wanted! :D <3
Please dont forget to follow me on my Facebook page! :) I'm going to do a give-away when I reach 300 likes! :D

And thats all for now!
Hope it wasn't too much spam! Haha!

Yesterday I purchased a new monofin- $300 worth. lol! So I cant wait to get it as I'll try it out in the ocean :)
I also Finally updated my lens review page, would you care to see? :)http://shimmerbubble.blogspot.com.au/
I try to do different makeup to keep the lens reviews interesting! ^^

Anyways, if you made it through this post- THANKYOU and I hope it wasn't too boring! haha!

Talk soon!
XOXOXOX

Princess Mimi: Waffle Grey

Hello again everyone!
I was super excited to try these lenses out- more Princess Mimi! So far, Princess Mimi have released my favourite lenses, so I was eager to give these a go! XD
Waffle Grey!
They've got some blue in them, which I loveeee <3
Tried out an onee-gyaru look like from HappyNuts!

(Lol, I look like I'm poking my eye. haha! I dont pull off sexy very well! XD )

Comfort: 10/10
Size: 9/10
Colour/Design: 8/10

Ah, I'm not going to lie, I love these lenses XD I think perhaps I'm biased to Princess Mimi? lol! As soon as I put them in I couldn't feel them- at all! Not even a little! Super comfortable! The size is perfect for everyday wear, as all Princess Mimi's are. The colour is the one issue I have with these- I LOVE the grey/blue of them  and the dark outer circle- however the inner darker circle prevents it from blending easily into my grey eyes. From a distance its unnoticable, but as you can see in the closer photos its pretty obvious it doesnt blend. This wont stop me from wearing these, though! haha!

Thank you Adelaide Little Lens!! <3

EOS BlythEye Violet

Happy Easter everyone! :D
Today I'm reviewing the last of the EOS BlythEye series- in Violet!

We had a Lolita Easter meet- so I went as a bunny! haha!

Comfort: 9/10
Size: 9/10
Colour/Design: 10/10

These lenses are SO VIBRANT. They are so cool! XD I had girls at the loli meet saying "woah!" when they saw my eyes. haha! They appear a little blue in my eyes from a distance, but their colour is so illuminating its incredible! No difference in comfort to any others of this series- I wore them the whole day with no issues :D If you are after a really really bright purple lens, these are the ones! For a cosplay or photoshoot, these really stand out very beautifully!

Check out the HUGE range of lenses at:

Thank you again for reading! :D

EOS BlythEye Brown

Hello again lovely readers!
Today we'll have a look at EOS' BlythEye in Brown!
https://www.facebook.com/adelaide.geolenses ~

It appears more yellow before being in the eye, doesn't it? ;D
But once the lenses are in, they lose the yellow colour and appear lovely and almond-ish!

I decided to try a Belle-inspired cosplay for these lenses! hehe!

Comfort: 9/10
Size: 9/10
Colour/Design: 8/10

You all know my relationship with brown lenses- sometimes I really like them, sometimes I really dont... These ones I can honestly say I dont mind them! haha! They aren't my favourite colour-wise, which is why they have a lower score than usual- but that's personal preference. I wish they were a little bit warmer in colour, otherwise they are really cool! They cover my grey eyes really well! If you are looking for a lighter coloured brown lens, these are the ones to go for.
